Jim Mason, President

Responsible for planning, marketing, financial management, new offering development, and alliance relationships for Kappa Image LLC.

Mr. Mason had similar responsibilities for the Integrated Payments organization, a business unit of Computer Sciences Corporation's Financial Services Group. The Integrated Payments organization offerings included image based, high volume remittance processing systems utilized by some of the country's highest volume payment processors, such as GE Card Services and Verizon.

Mr. Mason has over 25 years experience in systems analysis and design, project management, and consulting in the effective utilization of computer technology in the financial services industry. Most of his work in the past 15 years has been focused on various aspects of payment processing and customer service operations. Prior to joining what is now CSC's Integrated Payments organization, Mr. Mason held a variety of increasingly responsible positions in computer systems management for a large bank.

Mr. Mason holds an MBA from University of California Berkley and B.S from John Carroll University.

Mr. Gilles Houle, Chief Architect and Founder

Gilles has worked at various organizations over the past 2 decades pushing the envelop in pattern and image recognition. In September 2003, Gilles founded "Kappa Image Consultant" and in 2004, Gilles and Jim founded Kappa Image LLC. Gilles has various publications (Gilles F. Houle - request via the contact page) dealing with topics around character, handwriting and image recognition.

Gilles has a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (University of Quebec in Chicoutimi), and a Master's in Image Processing (National Institute of Scientific Research). Gilles did his PhD studies at George Washington University in DC in Artifical Intelligence.
